You’ll need to size your VPS for the amount of data, mostly images, that you plan on eventually loading. One of the advantages of a VPS, though, is that you can expand it on-the-go very easily, so go ahead and go with a minimum install and worry about expanding later. You may, however run into import problems because the PHP parameters are too low. For example, if your install stops after partially loading, this could be your problem.
